Eric Muehlhausen joined ElectronX in 2024 as Chief Technology Officer with more than 20 years of experience leading engineering efforts and driving innovation across financial technology and electronic markets, digital audio and personal computing.
In the capital markets space, he has held multiple front office roles building technology and managing business relationships in the areas of automated trading, exchange connectivity, risk management and compliance across global equities, futures, FX and digital asset markets.
Prior to joining ElectronX, Eric served as Head of Markets-Crypto at Tower Research Capital, a leading participant in digital asset markets. He led a high-performing, globally-distributed development team in its mission to continually push the bounds of throughput, latency and reliability. This followed Eric’s previous achievements at Tower, where he launched a high-frequency futures market-making desk, and built bespoke trading systems infrastructure and market connectivity for Tower’s U.S.- and European-regulated cash equities and derivatives businesses.
Eric built his technology expertise in exchange connectivity protocols, software and hardware integration, high performance computing and real-time and low latency systems during earlier software engineering roles at Bloomberg LP, Avid Technology, Apple Computer and others. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a graduate of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.
