Desiree DeSalle-Baron

General Counsel

Desiree DeSalle-Baron joined ElectronX in 2025 with more than 15 years of professional experience as in-house senior counsel at various firms in the financial industry. Prior to ElectronX, Desiree served as the General Counsel at Akuna Capital LLC and as Associate General Counsel at E*Trade by Morgan Stanley and Jump Trading, LLC. Desiree is also a veteran of the Illinois Army National Guard where she served for six years before a general discharge to pursue her legal career. As a true generalist in-house counsel, Desiree is adept at providing support and leadership across all in-house corporate functions including trading and regulatory matters, contract negotiation, global corporate governance, domestic and international employment and HR matters, project management, insurance, and internal policy drafting. She is adept at building and leading teams and excels at bringing team members together to partner for all business needs. Desiree graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and obtained her Juris Doctor at Valparaiso University School of Law. Desiree is an attorney in good standing, practicing in the state of Illinois.
